 Chapter Three

1) What was Soldier's fate?

2) Why are these lines spoken by Hagar uncharacteristic of her? "I'm sorry about it Bram, I knew you were fond of him.
 These lines are spoken by Hagar uncharacteristic of her because she didn't care for him getting the horse, but she felt bad for him he lost the one thing he wanted so badly.

3) How are the old Hagar and Bram alike?
The old Hagar and Bram are alike in the way of being loud, Hagar says something to Dorris that Dorris tells her to sh because people are listening, Hagar than realizes that she knows the feeling becuase when Bram is talking loudly she gets embarressed and tells him to sh.

Rita is a friend of Hagars whom she used to live with, along with Rita's son and husband.

6) Explain Hagar's statement, "Strangers are easier to asses."
Hagar's statement , "Strangers are easier to asses." basically it means she thinks it is alot easier to read someone you don't know , people you know are already put together for you , you either like them or you don't where as people you do know, you know all the complications and everything thats wrong with them kind of thing.
